Seattle, WA April 2025 This past weekend, the lens turned toward memory and music as Jon Anderson sat down with the film’s producer Michael McMorrow to reflect on his extraordinary friendship with Alan White -captured in a moving and unforgettable interview.

We didn’t just roll cameras-we time traveled,” said Michael McMorrow. “Jon opened up in such an honest and soulful way. He spoke not just of music, but of brotherhood, grace, and the quiet power Alan brought into every room.

In a candid interview conducted by McMorrow in Seattle, Jon opened up not just as a bandmate, but as a lifelong friend. Beginning with Alan’s entry into YES in 1972, the conversation explored the trust and musical connection they shared, Alan’s grounding presence through countless evolutions of the band, and the deep personal bond they maintained both on and off the stage.

It felt like Alan was with us in that room. The way Jon spoke of him-steady, intuitive, always listening-it reminded us why Alan mattered, and still does.” Michael McMorrow

The film, produced by One Take LLC and Triple Squirrels Inc., in partnership with Alan’s wife Gigi White, continues to evolve into something both intimate and epic in scale. Built around rare archival content, powerful new interviews, and live performance footage, including the 2022 tribute concert held at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre, the documentary aims to honor not just Alan’s legacy as a legendary drummer, but his humanity, humility, and impact on generations of musicians and fans.

Proceeds from the film will support WhyHunger, a cause close to Alan and Gigi White’s hearts.

This isn’t just about where Alan played,” McMorrow added. “It’s about how he lived. Jon’s words reminded us all why Alan’s legacy matters, and why this story must be told.
